This is our modern day baby book! It is our prayer that years from now, Zeke and Adalynn will look back at the details of this blog and understand just how much we looked forward to meeting them and love them!

November 2019

Silly poses and sibling fun

Lily Faith started to really express herself in photos last year.  She and Adalynn have fun posing and making silly faces.  They also love dressing up, so we take advantage of the sales in November to update our costume basket.

Compassion Experience

Each year, Compassion International hosts an experience to allow people to see what life is like for impoverished families around the world.  We were excited to attend the one held in Americus.  It gave us the opportunity to sponsor another child.  We already sponsor, Alexis, from Peru who is Zeke's exact same age (January 19, 2010).  The Lord led us to sponsor a little girl.  Her birthday is February 28th (Adalynn's) and she was born in 2016 (like Lily Faith).  Her name is Immaculate and we have already begun writing letters to her.  The whole experience was eye opening for all of us.

Preparing for Christmas

We began decorating early for Christmas.  We knew we'd be leaving for Johns Creek mid-December, so we wanted to enjoy our decorations.  We also wanted to do our Jesse tree before we left.  That was one of our favorite parts of the 2019 season.  We have ornaments which represent different parts of the story of Jesus from Genesis to Revelation. We read the verses each night and the kids alternated who put the ornament on the little tree.  We'd sit there and enjoy the beautiful lights as we thought about all that God did for us.

All done!

Christmas PJs (we got one more year out of these!)

Professional photos

Our church offered family photos as a fundraiser for the Potter's House (a Christ centered home for women in recovery), so the kids and I had our pictures made.  Gregg was working that day, unfortunately.

Fall/Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving in Americus again because Gregg was working.  It was kind of fun to have our Christmas decorations up alongside our Thanksgiving decorations!

Lily Faith wasn't feeling it that day!

Excited to give Ms. Elaine, his piano teacher, a special Christmas gift

Happy Thanksgiving!

They had a blast playing in the leaves

Someone accidentally ran into our old mailbox, so we got a new one!

We had fun at the Christmas open house at Koinonia Farms
