This is our modern day baby book! It is our prayer that years from now, Zeke and Adalynn will look back at the details of this blog and understand just how much we looked forward to meeting them and love them!

Hall Kids Photo Shoot (with Wynna and Mommy too!)

My friend, Caroline, from college is a photographer now and lives in Roswell, GA.  She took photos of the kids while we were up visiting my parents during one of Gregg's trips away.  My mom and I were in a few too.  She did a great job capturing their personalities.  Enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving 2014!

Psalm 100
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!
Know that the Lord, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!
For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.

This year Gregg had to work on Thanksgiving, so my mom planned a trip down the weekend before.  We enjoyed a roast, mashed potatoes, roasted Brussels sprouts (with bacon), and pumpkin pie.  It was wonderful.  Unfortunately, the kids were sick with colds and my mom started with laryngitis and went home with an ear infection.

We still managed to have fun with Wynna.  Zeke got to decorate a gingerbread house, help with the pumpkin pie, and decorate the tree.  Adalynn was spoiled by her Wynna picking her up whenever she wanted.  That's what grandmas are for, right?!!

My mom took a few of Gregg and me before we headed to church while she stayed home with the kids...

On Thanksgiving, Gregg had worked an overnight shift, so he was sleeping much of the day.  We still had some time together and I was able to serve him ham, rice, and broccoli, which he enjoyed.  The kids and I took a few photos outside and Zeke and I did some Thanksgiving crafts while Adalynn napped.

Poor baby didn't feel well and didn't want to be told where to go for pictures!

This one cracks me up...she was over it!

Above you'll see Zeke's "I'm Thankful For" turkey.  He was thankful for Wynna, Daddy, Mommy, Sterling (his buddy), Adalynn, and Jesus!

We also did the thankful leaves like we did last year.  I won't list them all, but I'll share some...
  • That I got to go outside and play with Browning (he wrote this twice!)
  • That God made the rainbow
  • That God made people
  • That I got to buy toys with Wynna
  • That God made the trucks and the animals
  • That I got to go to the store with you
  • That God made people
  • That Adalynn likes to play with the ball
  • That Wynna came to visit me
  • That I got to make gelatin with you
  • That I got to go outside with Daddy
  • That God made the bushes
  • That God made the land and the seas
I love his innocent heart that enjoys the simple things.  He's honest and appreciates time with us.  He is a gift!

I, of course, am thankful for the common blessings I often take for granted like a comfortable home, husband who works hard to provide for our family, gift of parenthood, abundance of food and water, loving family and friends, and on and on.

Most importantly, I am thankful for the goodness of God, that He would rescue us by sending His Son to die for our sins.  What greater gift is there?  I am humbled and in awe.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!
