This is our modern day baby book! It is our prayer that years from now, Zeke and Adalynn will look back at the details of this blog and understand just how much we looked forward to meeting them and love them!

December 2017

Once again, I'm posting late, but what a whirlwind of a December it was!  We traveled up to Johns Creek for 2 weeks, then came home under the weather for over a week.  Now, I'm finally feeling back to normal!  We enjoyed a wonderful time with family, celebrating Jesus' birth!

For unto us a Child is born,Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6

December at home

Zeke was blessed with money from his sweet cousin, Gregory, to buy some Legos!

Big grins in front of the Jesse tree

A little game of Bible Land before bed

Always trying to wear our shoes

Zeke and me doing some Christmas shopping after our hair cuts!

Zeke was my date to the Carter Presidential Detail Christmas party.  Gregg was working and the girls stayed with a sitter

Santa came to the party!

Lily Faith has decided to make her mark (literally) by being our youngest child to hold a pencil properly!

Fun playing the Dreidel game!

Always piling onto Daddy!

Lighting the Menorah and learning more about Hebrew traditions

All dressed up and ready for church

Zeke had the opportunity to play piano at a retirement home this year.

All three children have worn these pajamas.  She wasn't thrilled to have her picture taken, though!

Opening gifts at home before we left town.

Reading one of his new books, Concord Cunningham - Scripture Sleuth

Sitting in their new personalized chairs (Lily Faith's isn't new)

What fun!

He completed his first 300 piece puzzle!

First days in Johns Creek

We settled in quickly and were thankful to have Gregg with us until Christmas day.  We enjoyed meals together and time visiting.  Grandma (GeeGee) was there as well.  What a gift it was to spend so much quality time with her.  She turned 95 on December 17, 2017.

Eating dinner with GeeGee our first night there.
So thankful to be together!

Watching TV is always a treat at Wynna and Granddaddy's!

In the princess carriage (wagon) Wynna and Granddaddy got them

How blessed are they to have their great grandmother push them in their wagon?!!

It's always fun playing on Wynna and Granddaddy's driveway

Ready for bed in their matching PJs

So precious...our youngest and oldest family members

Annual picture with Wynna's neighbor's nativity scene

Jared and the girls came over for dinner and playtime!

Matching littlest cousins

Kariss is an AMAZING helper!

One of many Bingo games Adalynn played with GeeGee.  GeeGee was such a great sport!

Christmas Eve

This year, Christmas Eve was on a Sunday.  We all went to brunch at the Atlanta Athletic Club, then Gregg, Zeke, and I went to church.  They had services all day, so the others went later.
Four generations

I love this photo with GeeGee

The five of us!

I love my Grandma!

This was real gingerbread...I wish you could smell it!

Christmas Day

We were sad to say good-bye to Gregg, but he had to go home for work.  We enjoyed the day together with family!

Adalynn in her hat made by Wynna and Hello Kitty doll

All he asked for...a Gator uniform and helmet!

Cousins!

I love this picture with Wynna, Grandaddy, and the kids

Sweet "cousin/sister/friends!"

Pure joy in Wynna's arms with her handmade hat and pearls!

GeeGee with 6 out of 8 of her great grandchildren!

Day out with cousins

We spent an afternoon at North Point Mall making Build-a-Bears, eating lunch, and playing.  The kids had a blast!

Adalynn, Harper, and Lily Faith rode the Carousel (with Wynna and me)

Helping make his Build-a-Bear

She got a bulldog

He was able to buy a Lego set with Christmas money!

We're thankful for wheels!

Christmas Pagent

Aunt Nancy (aka Fancy) came to visit for a few days after Christmas. The kids prepared a Christmas pageant, so we performed it while Nancy was there.  The cast included the following: Zeke (Joseph), Sophia (Mary), Harper (angel), Adalynn (shepherd), Lily Faith (sheep), and Kariss (wiseman).  I narrated and they acted out the events that led to our Savior's birth (and shortly after).  This looks like it will be an annual play.  They were adorable!

The sheep didn't want to wear her hood!

More Bingo!

Church on New Years Eve

We all went to Perimeter Church on Christmas Eve and enjoyed lunch afterward at the AAC.

GeeGee and Nancy with the children

Mom, Jared, and me

We were so grateful to have Nancy there

Kariss helping, once again!

I found this on my phone...haha!

She wanted her picture with the Nutcracker

She managed to find someone to give her a balloon from the New Years Eve decorations!

Heading home

Two weeks is a long time, but it seemed to go by quickly.  We are grateful for all of the time we had with everyone, especially GeeGee.  We cherish the memories and are thankful to have these photos to remember the special time.

Closing

Before we left, I failed to get a photo of Zeke with the toy soldier like we do every year.  I got one when we returned home and completed the collage!

Our annual photos with our toy soldier

She wanted to have a photo taken too!
I pray you all had a Merry Christmas and are blessed in 2018 with all spiritual blessings in the Lord, Jesus Christ!
