This is our modern day baby book! It is our prayer that years from now, Zeke and Adalynn will look back at the details of this blog and understand just how much we looked forward to meeting them and love them!

Resurrection Sunday and more!!

Resurrection Sunday

We were thrilled to celebrate Jesus' resurrection together as a family.  Gregg was working all night, but came home and slept a couple of hours and woke up to go to church with us.  It was a powerful service at our church where our pastor taught how Jesus changes everything.  He does and He is alive!!!

Several books, paint your own "stained glass" cross, window decals, Minnie, and the peanuts movie

He reads non-stop so Wynna bought him a set of Boxcar Children mysteries.  He's almost read all of the ones they have at our library!

Preparing our Hearts

During the month of March we spent time preparing our home and our hearts for Resurrection Day.  I didn't get a picture of our names of Jesus chain.  Each day, I would hide a slip of paper that had a name of Jesus on it (Savior, Healer, etc.).  Zeke would look for them, then we'd look up the verse printed on it.

We also did Resurrection eggs the 2 weeks before Resurrection Day.  Each egg has an item that represents what happened on Jesus' journey to the cross (i.e. donkey, cup, prayer hands, etc., and the final egg was empty!).  We'd open the egg and read the scripture and description each evening.  It was very powerful!  Below you'll see some photos of just a few of our decorations!

Birthday Party Fun and 32 Weeks

I was 32 weeks the day we went to our friends, the Blanchards, little boys' birthday party.  Their middle and youngest son were born on the same day, so they had a joint birthday party.  They used to live down the street from us, but live in town now.  It was a fun afternoon celebrating their cute boys!

I thought it would be fun to compare my belly with Adalynn to my belly with Lily Faith!

Ready to head to the party

Spring has sprung

The weather has been kind of up and down here, but it's definitely spring.  We're getting our pool ready and will hopefully be able to swim soon.

They had to tag along with me to an endocrinologist appointment that ended up taking a LONG time!  They did great, but you'll see how silly Adalynn gets in the bottom pictures!

Such a fun toy!

We continue to look forward to Lily Faith's arrival sometime around May 14th.  We cherish your prayers for her safe delivery and good health.  We are humbled by all of the prayer warriors that stand with us for our family.  Thank you!!

Celebrating Lily Faith and Adalynn!!

February was a very busy, but blessed month.  Gregg had to go on a long work trip, so the children and I spent part of that time in Johns Creek with family and friends.  My mom hosted a shower for Lily Faith and we celebrated Adalynn's birthday.  We were able to visit with many friends and enjoyed our time there.

Lily Faith at 28 weeks!

Lily Faith's Shower

What a treat to have the opportunity to celebrate Lily Faith with friends and family in the Atlanta area.  It was a fun experience because Zeke and Adalynn were there.  They helped me open the gifts and certainly added excitement to the afternoon!!

We decided to celebrate over lunch with the family at the Atlanta Athletic Club.  As I mentioned above, Sophia was sick, so we missed her and Jami.  Adalynn had a great time at church and lunch.  Then, we were able to celebrate with Daddy when we returned home.

Valentine's Day

In an effort to catch up, I'll go ahead and post our Valentine's pictures as I close.  We had a party at Classical Conversations.  I forgot to get a picture of our Valentine's for Zeke's class.  I printed an acrostic that used John 3:16 and written vertically was Valentine.  We gave pencils with a world eraser...for God so loved the world!

The printout we used, but used pencils instead of the keychains!

Zeke and I did the "God's love is...." treasure hunt again this year.  It was wonderful because he is now able to read the verses in the Bible.  We learned how God's love is unconditional, unchanging, everlasting, etc.  I would hide a heart with a description and verse each morning, Zeke would find it, then we would look them up together.

This is an image from the website where I downloaded the scripture countdown!
