This is our modern day baby book! It is our prayer that years from now, Zeke and Adalynn will look back at the details of this blog and understand just how much we looked forward to meeting them and love them!

A little more on Father's Day

Please don't miss the end of the last post where I wrote about what a wonderful daddy Gregg is.  I created a couple of collages for Facebook of our dads, so I decided I'd post them here too!

Gregg and I are thankful for the legacy we have in our fathers and grandfathers.  My dad was the first man to make me laugh with his silly sense of humor.  My mom jokes that I am his best audience!  He has worked incredibly hard his entire life to provide for our family.  It is such a blessing to see him enjoying his (partial) retirement and spending more time with the family.  He is a man of integrity, intelligence, and has a strong work ethic.  I thank God for him!

We are thinking of Gregg's dad today. I thank God for allowing Gregg to learn how to be a dad from one of the greatest. We know we will see him again and just smile thinking about the indescribable joy he is experiencing now in Heaven!

Summertime!!!

Well, I can't believe I haven't written since May 9th.  It has gone by so quickly.

We continue to be amazed at what God is teaching us as we diligently seek Him.  His promises give us hope, comfort, and guidance.

Isaiah 26:3 ~ "You keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You; because he trusts in You."

We enjoyed a visit from Wynna and took a trip up there to stay with Wynna and Papa for a few days.  We had a "staycation" here too.  We slowed way down on Zeke's schooling, although, I am still trying to continue with some activities.  We will begin a homeschool program called, "Classical Conversations" next year.  Their motto is "To know God and make Him known."  It will meet at our church once/week and I will continue to teach him at home the other 4 days.

1st and last day of Pre-K

Below, you'll see a glimpse of some of the activities that filled our month of May, including Mother's Day.

I don't know how we managed it, but we didn't get any pictures with Wynna when she was visiting.  We did take a few of the kids.

While she was here, Gregg and I went away for a night to a little resort in Cordele, GA to celebrate our anniversary (a week early).

My perfect birthday gift was to spend the day together as a family.  I am grateful!

Later that week, Gregg had to work in Atlanta, so we headed up there too.  It was great to see the cousins for an evening and spend some quality time with Wynna and Papa.  We are so blessed!

One last time to play outside at Wynna and Papa's before we headed home

The kids enjoyed a birthday party at the splash pad here in Americus as well as the animals at the library's summer reading program story time.

So excited to see the animals!

A big lizard.  Yikes!

A huge bullfrog!
Aunt Debbie made some beautiful homemade gifts.  She personalized the saddle bags on the horse with the kids' names and made some beautiful bedding for Adalynn.  She also sent some extra stuffed animals.  As you'll see below, Zeke decided they wanted to watch Veggie Tales with him!

Here are a few more from church last week.  Notice Zeke trying to shoo the gnats in the collage!

Happy Father's Day!

Gregg has been working extremely hard (long hours included), so I don't have many pictures of him.  Today is Father's Day and he is sleeping after working all night.  I am so incredibly thankful that God chose Gregg to be my husband and father to our children. He was a natural from the start. As I watch him take time to slow down and teach them, do silly voices, hug and hold, and be a model of what it means to love and serve Christ, my heart overflows with gratitude.

1 Corinthians 16:13 ~ "Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong."

He is strong, faithful, brave, and watchful.  His name is actually derived from the Greek word, GrÄ“gorios meaning, "watchful, alert."  How neat that God led him to his career which involves exactly that..watching while alert!  But I see it in the way he cares for our family too.  His wisdom is such a gift to us and we thank God for Gregg for so many reasons!
