This is our modern day baby book! It is our prayer that years from now, Zeke and Adalynn will look back at the details of this blog and understand just how much we looked forward to meeting them and love them!

Visits with family and friends

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever! ~ 1 Chronicles 16:34

4th of July

It's hard to believe July is almost over.  We celebrated July 4th at home (as usual!), but were able to take some cute photos of the kids celebrating our nation's birth!

Ballet Camp

Adalynn got to attend her first ballet camp this summer.  She had such a blast and couldn't wait to go each day.  Of course, it was a special moment for me as a former ballerina!!

Tennis Camp

Zeke was able to attend tennis camp.  Just like Adalynn, he had a blast!  It was 3 days/week for 2 weeks.  He really learned a lot and had tons of fun too!  They played games to practice tennis skills and ended each night with a water balloon fight.  I think that was his favorite part!  He received a certificate at the end, which was exciting for him!

Jared and Family Visit

Jared, Jami, Kariss, Sophia, and Harper came to visit us and meet Lily Faith.  It was a quick 2 days, but such a blessing.  Kariss was a "little mommy" to Lily Faith, which was a huge help.  Zeke and Sophia decided they were police and had fun playing together.  Harper and Adalynn played well together too.  They all had fun swimming in our pool to beat the south Georgia heat!

Wynna Visits

My mom came to visit the weekend after Jared and his family left. because Gregg had to take a trip for work.  Gregg's trip ended up being cut short, but we were so thankful to have the time with Wynna anyways!  She and I actually went shopping for about an hour just the two of us!  It was a nice treat!

Our cameraman, Zeke, took this too!

Todd and Teresa Visit

Next, we had the pleasure of having Todd and Teresa visit us all the way from California!  It was SUCH a gift to have quality time with both of them.  We had fun showing them our little town and just visiting at home.  (Note, the kids call her Tessa!)

Love at first sight!
Teresa taught me the football hold with Adalynn in 2013 (seen above)

...now it's Lily Faith's favorite too!

Lily Faith ~ Two Months

Our sweet girl is 2 months old now.  It's hard to believe!  She's smiling at each of us, cooing, sucking her fingers, and still sleeping and eating well.  She loves being with people and when anyone talks to her.  She enjoys being carried around or riding around in the baby carrier!

Baby Ergo carrier...such a great invention!!

Gregg's Birthday

Gregg's not big on birthdays, but we like to spoil him a little.  I fixed him bacon and eggs (his favorite) and Zeke picked out a gift for him (a camo Georgia shirt and peanut M&Ms!).  We also got him a heart rate monitor to help as he trains for his hunt out west this year.  Zeke made his own creative "cake" too!  It was a fun day!

Looking Forward

As we finish this month, we thank God for the gift of family and friends.  We are preparing to start school next week.  We moved the homeschool room downstairs and the playroom upstairs.  It seemed more practical for our needs right now.  I'm pleased with the change!

A glimpse of the new school room...still a work in progress!

...and part of the new playroom!

We look forward to all God has in store for us this school year.  We'll begin our homeschool group, Classical Conversations, at the end of August.  We hope Zeke will be able to start taking tennis lessons this fall on a regular basis.  He seems to follow in his Papa, Wynna, and Daddy's footsteps with his interest in tennis!  We pray blessings upon each of you!
