This is our modern day baby book! It is our prayer that years from now, Zeke and Adalynn will look back at the details of this blog and understand just how much we looked forward to meeting them and love them!

Visit to Florida

We loaded the truck with both car seats and ALL of our stuff, and headed south to visit Gregg's family in Arcadia, FL.  Dadder Poo (Gregg's dad) had a stroke over a month ago and is in the hospital.

We hoped we could all see him, but we decided against bringing the children to the hospital because of all they would be exposed to there.  That was hard, but we did thoroughly enjoy getting to spend time with Chella (Ada), Stacey, Debbie, Maria, and the kids.  Jimmy was not feeling well, so we didn't get to see him.

God showed His hand in a mighty way, though.  It began with the drive down there.  Adalynn cried about 4-5 minutes total on our 8 HOUR CAR RIDE!  It was a true miracle!  Then, God continued to orchestrate the circumstances so Gregg was able to talk to doctors when he went to visit.  They would literally walk in right when Gregg arrived or right before he planned to leave.  He learned more details about Dadder Poo's condition and treatment, which gave him more peace.

Gregg was able to spend time sharing scripture with Dadder Poo and just being with him.  It was very difficult, though, and we would all appreciate your prayers during this time.  Jimmy, Maria, Stacey, and Chella have been going back and forth from Arcadia to Sarasota and we know they are exhausted physically and emotionally.  Please pray for their wellness and rest.

In times like this, we can either draw closer to God or pull away.  I have been inspired by Gregg and his family and how they are seeking God every step of the way.  We know He has a plan in all of this even when we don't understand from an earthly perspective.

His Word teaches us that: "...all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28)

We trust God's Word.

Now, I will leave you with one of our favorite pictures of Gregg's dad.  Thank you for your prayers and love!
