Happy Valentine's Day!

Well, it's March 5th and I was planning to write a post about Adalynn's 4th birthday.  When I logged on, I realized I hadn't finished my Valentine's Day post.  Oops!  So, here it is...

Gregg had to travel out of town on Valentine's Day, so I was able to take a picture before he left (very handsome in his suit, I might add!).  

We started the day with a little love note to the kids from me and a morning treat (zucchini/gingerbread/carrot alphabet cookies!!).  Gregg also received a little handmade love note! ❤

Wynna sent cute gifts for the children.  Lily Faith immediately took to her monkey (as you'll see below!).  Zeke and Adalynn loved their new Captain America and Minny Mouse towels!

The children requested a "heart-shaped lunch," so I made little heart-shaped sandwiches with a cookie cutter.  Zeke also enjoyed a strawberry smoothie with his dinner.

This year, we continued our tradition of playing "Find the scripture heart."  I laminated 14 hearts that list different attributes of God with a verse to learn more about that attribute.  I would hide one each day and Zeke (and sometimes Adalynn) would search for it.  When they found it, Zeke would look up the verse and read it to us.  We look forward to this tradition every year.

We are, most importantly, thankful for the love of God.  We love because He first loved us!!!
