As I mentioned in the last post, we headed up to Johns Creek after our nice visit with Grandma and my parents in Ameicus. We were blessed to be there for 10 days (thanks to Wynna and Papa for putting up with all the noise and mess for that long!). We enjoyed the annual Atlanta Athletic Club Christmas celebration, Christmas Eve worship, Christmas, and special times with family and friends. We also were blessed to have Lily Faith's baby dedication at my parent's house, but I'll save that for another post.
Atlanta Athletic Club Christmas in Tinseltown
Gregg was able to have time off this Christmas to be with all of us in Johns Creek. That was one of the best gifts for all of us! We enjoyed going to the Atlanta Athletic Club's Christmas celebration. The food was wonderful and the children enjoyed all of the festivities. It was crowded...to say the least, but a fun night.

Christmas Eve
Jared brought the girls over before we went to church (Jami was not feeling well). The kids had fun playing (and the guys got to watch a little football). We attended the candlelight service at Perimeter Church. It was very special because it was geared towards children. Randy Pope challenged the children to remember 3 major points. Zeke remembered that Jesus is REAL, SUPERNATURAL, and WITH US. We looked at his geneology (real), conception (supernatural), and the prophecies he fulfilled (with us). Then Zeke participated in his first candlelight service as we all sang Silent Night. It was such a beautiful time to remember and worship our King!

Christmas Day
The kids woke up at their normal time and were excited to celebrate Jesus' birthday with everyone. This year, Christmas was on a Sunday. Mom, Dad, and Grandma went to the service at Perimeter. Gregg had to leave to get back for work, so I stayed home with the children. This was not ideal, but with no childcare at church and me needing to pump milk, it was the best option for this time. We were thankful to be able to watch Charles Stanley preach on television. That afternoon, Jared and his family came over. The children played, we opened gifts, and we all ate dinner together that evening. It was a special time together, exchanging gifts because we thank God for HIS GIFT TO US...JESUS!!!

Bulloch Hall Field Trip
As homeschoolers, we get to take field trips whenever we choose! We decided to go see Bulloch Hall. This was the childhood home of Mittie Bulloch, who is President Theodore Roosevelt's mother. It was built 177 years ago and still has much of the original flooring and windows. Mittie and her husband were married in the home, then moved to New York City, so President Roosevelt didn't spend time there. He did visit once, though, as President! GeeGee went with us and we enjoyed spending the morning with her and learning about this beautiful, historic home!
My mom's dear friend, Ellen, came by on the 29th for a visit. We try to get together each Christmas when the kids and I are there to visit. She has been a part of my life for my entire life and we love her like family!

Toy Soldier
It has become a fun tradition to take our annual toy soldier picture of Zeke. We've been taking it since he was 2! What a big, handsome boy he is becoming. He loves Jesus and loves people!
Lily Faith is 7 Months
Lily Faith turned 7 months on December 23rd, although this picture was taken a little late! She was a little over 12 and a half pounds (although she has reached 13 pounds at the time of writing this post), army crawling all around, eating a variety of foods (including venison pureed!), and smiling more than ever. She's such a precious little blessing to us all!
Happy New Year!!
Praying you all had a blessed Christmas and a happy new year. God has been showing us some exciting things for 2017, but I'll share those in the next post! God bless!!!
