This is the first time Zeke has been to the beach where he could really play. It's also the first time the older cousins were able to go off and play somewhat alone. There was a great basement in this home with a ping pong table and open space to run and play. The house also had a pool and was a few minutes walking distance from the beach.
It was Adalynn's first time at the beach too, although she mostly ate and slept!

Dinner Out
My dad was generous to take the different couples out to dinner the first couple of nights to avoid trying to take the kids out. The rest of us took turns on "kid duty." Gregg, my dad, and I went to Charlie's L'etoille Vert ("Green Star" in French). It was delicious and we actually ran into some old friends from Mt. Pisgah UMC, the Hollingsheads. We went to this restaurant when I was pregnant with Zeke in 2009!Hanging Out
We spent a lot of time hanging out at the house. The kids played games, watched DVDs, and generally just had a good time.Hunting Alligators
More Beach Time
Zeke loved playing on the sand with his tools, but was not as fond of the ocean. He didn't want the water to cover his feet because he didn't like not being able to see through it! You'll see below how far we were from the water and he was perfectly happy with that!Birthday Ice Cream
We celebrated Jared (July 25th) and Gregg's (July 26th) birthdays while we were there. We went for Gelato and Zeke had his very first ice cream (gelato). We also got some cute pictures of the kids in their matching outfits.Sleeping Babies
Zeke has not been taking naps, but managed to fall asleep several times (once on the floor while playing in his room during rest time!). He was worn out! Of course, Adalynn slept a lot too!Happy Birthday, Gregg!
Bye-Bye, Hilton Head!
Adalynn let us know that she DOES NOT like long car trips. She cried much of the trip. This picture was taken in our driveway when we got home where she finally decided to go to sleep! It was such a sweet time spent with family. The first day home when I woke up, I missed seeing Kariss and Sophia first thing. What a blessing to spend so much quality time with those we love!
